WELLNESS UNIT, FACULTY OF MEDICINE

To create a dedicated platform for planning and implementing initiatives that promote the holistic well-being of both staff and students. This includes supporting their mental, physical, social, spiritual, and environmental health, and ensuring a balanced and healthy lifestyle within the academic community.

Objectives:
  • Promote and enhance the overall health and well-being of FOM staff through targeted wellness initiatives.
  • Strengthen social interaction and engagement among staff and students, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Encourage and sustain physical fitness and healthy lifestyle practices among staff to improve their overall health and productivity.

CORE INITIATIVES FOR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Wellness Unit in the Faculty of Medicine focuses on three key pillars to enhance the health and well-being of its staff. First, Active Lifestyle initiatives encourage physical fitness and promote healthy living to keep staff fit and energized. Second, Healthy Eating programs empower staff to make informed, nutritious food choices that support their overall well-being. Lastly, Mental, Social & Spiritual Wellness creates a holistic and supportive environment that nurtures mental health, social connection, and spiritual well-being. Together, these pillars aim to foster a balanced and healthy community.
