The Department of Surgery's Bi-Annual Audit Presentation serves as a comprehensive review of the department’s performance across six divisions (Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Urology Surgery). Held twice a year, each division presents key data, including patient admissions, length of stay, surgical operations, mortality and morbidity rates, and KPIs. The Department’s Research Division highlights recent publications, while Nursing and Surgical Site Infection Control Divisions also share critical performance data. The primary objective of the event is to ensure continuous quality improvement, identify operational strengths and weaknesses, and align divisional goals with the department’s overall strategy. Over the years, the presentation slides have been refined to offer more concise, impactful insights, enabling enhanced decision-making for department management.
