The Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya would like to congratulate Ms. Nurul Nabilah Akmal Hashim (PhD candidate) and her supervisor Professor Dr. Tan Maw Pin (Consultant Geriatrician) from the Department of Medicine, UM Faculty of Medicine on winning the Best Poster Prize at the recently held Malaysian Congress of Geriatric Medicine-Asia Pacific Geriatric Conference joint meeting for their poster entitled, "Circulating Interleukin-6 in Falls Among Older Adults with Obesity". It was no mean feat, as they had to compete against 75 other posters from 20 countries. This achievement represents a collaborative effort between researchers from the University of Aberdeen and the University of Malaya.
