Charles Gunn Li Qi, a second-year Universiti Malaya medical student who was the Grand Winner of the 3rd Steinway Malaysia Youth Piano Competition (SMYPC) and had represented Malaysia in the Steinway Southeast Asia Regional Finals in 2016 is featured in a series of stories on past SMYPC winners by Steinway & Sons Malaysia.
"Some may say music is completely opposite from medicine, as music is an art while medicine is a science. However, I say that they are interrelated as by learning to play the piano, I am now able to appreciate the art that is within the science of medicine - the beauty and complexity of the human body."
