The Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya would like to congratulate Dr. Cheong Jun Leong, our MBBS (UM) 2019 graduate and Master's degree graduate by research from the Department of Anaesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, UM, on winning the MSA Award at the recently held Annual Scientific Congress 2021, organised by the Malaysian Society of Anaesthesiologists and College of Anaesthesiologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia. Dr. Cheong participated in the Top 10 Oral Presentation Competition and won the award among a total of 115 entries for the topic of “Comparing the Association of Different Frailty Screening Tools with Postoperative Delirium." In 2020, he was given the University of Malaya Financial Aid (GRAS - IPPP) to complete his Master’s degree. Dr. Cheong was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Loh Pui San & Professor Dr. Ina Ismiarti Shariffuddin from the Department of Anaesthesiology in collaboration with Dr. Khor Hui Min from the Department of Medicine and Dr. Mahmoud Danaee from the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine.
