Master of Nursing Science [MNSc]

The Master of Nursing Science is an academic program that is designed to provide opportunities for nurses to develop advanced skills in professional nursing. The program provides graduates with rigour grounding in research methods, critical analysis and theoretical perspectives that inform clinical nursing. Students will graduate with a sound knowledge of a broad range of research methodologies and methods; the ability to design and conduct a research project in a rigorous and ethical manner; the skill to critically appraise research and make informed decisions for practice change when appropriate and be a critical and informed thinker regarding issues relating to health.

 

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO 1. Graduates establish themselves as nurses with advanced knowledge and competencies in clinical practice, education and research.
PEO 2. Graduates advance their professional growth in nursing through engagement in continuous professional development.
PEO 3. Graduates contribute to the health and wellbeing of society through the delivery of advanced patient care.
