The Master of Nursing Science is an academic program that is designed to provide opportunities for nurses to develop advanced skills in professional nursing. The program provides graduates with rigour grounding in research methods, critical analysis and theoretical perspectives that inform clinical nursing. Students will graduate with a sound knowledge of a broad range of research methodologies and methods; the ability to design and conduct a research project in a rigorous and ethical manner; the skill to critically appraise research and make informed decisions for practice change when appropriate and be a critical and informed thinker regarding issues relating to health.

International student who are their first degree is from a university where English is not the medium of instruction must obtain at least: A minimum score of Band 6.0 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic)
or
A minimum score of 600 for the Paper-based total (PBT), 250 for the Computer-based total (CBT, or 100 for the Internet-based total (IBT) for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);
The general and specific entry requirements for admission to the program are as follows:
Bachelor of Nursing Science with CGPA of at least 3.00 or equivalent,
ORBachelor of Nursing Science with CGPA of 2.70 to 2.99 or equivalent, AND meet at least one (1) of the following criteria:
Bachelor of Nursing Science with CGPA of 2.50 to 2.69 or equivalent, AND meet at least two (2) of the following criteria;
Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board AND has a current practice license (for Malaysian Nurses only);
ANDHave a post-basic qualification with a period of study of at least six (6) months; or at least one (1) year working experience in a related field.
