Research Groups
The department of Orthopaedic Surgery is constantly trying to improve their research output. In 2003 an initiative to promote quality Orthopaedic related research within the University were initiated resulting in the creation of the Orthopaedic research group (ORG). A group of surgeons, scientists, post-graduate students and staff from within and outside the department were recruited to tackle the research drive for the department.

Currently there are a number of research groups within the department looking into the various research areas of Orthopaedic surgery.

This initiative has led to a number of achievements and research awards, publications and scientific presentations which spells success for the ORG as a group.
